Cynefin

Cynefin champions and partners meet collectively for the first time at Hay Festival to launch the programme.

Cynefin is a multi-partner research programme that explores how placing the arts and culture as a frontline public service could effect a step-change for public health in Wales.

Over nine months, a series of webinars and discussions will bring together leaders from health and the arts to hear the evidence, share learning and listen to lived experience. You can find links to the upcoming webinars below.

Creating a space for fresh thinking and the exchange of ideas on arts and health, Cynefin will shape practical policy recommendations for improving health and wellbeing through the arts. Cynefin will shape practical policy recommendations for improving health and wellbeing through the arts

Cynefin is jointly delivered by WAHWN, Public Health Wales, Arts Council of Wales and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Office and is funded through an AHRC Creative Communities Co-Lab Policy Network Award.

The AHRC Creative Communities Co-Lab Policy Network Awards are new cross-sector cultural policy networks in devolved nations and regions of the UK. They create a new capacity for a cross-sector collaborative exchange of policy ideas related to culture and devolution (regional and national) in the context of the UK Government Missions.
