Arawn Bryn
Multi-media visual artist with expertise in rotoscope animation
I am a multi-media visual artist with expertise in rotoscope animation and a keen interest in using art and creativity to explore feelings. I am very excited to take part in this project and I hope to make connections in the industry and build my skills.
Catrin Cheung
Creative writer, poet
I write creatively – mainly poetry – and often discuss themes of mental health, identity, mixed race experiences, nature and spiritual life. In addition, I am a yoga teacher and strongly believe that connecting with the body is very beneficial for our mental health. Through this programme, I am looking forward to developing my engagement skills in a health and wellness context and to learning from the mentors and other mentees, hoping to create a supportive creative community around me.
Catrin Wilson
Freelance dance artist
Haia, I’m Catrin. I am a freelance dance artist from a community dance background and have experience working in a variety of community, education and healthcare settings. I hope to broaden my knowledge and develop my skills in all aspects of arts health and wellbeing and can’t wait to get started.
Ceris Dyfi Jones
Textile artist
My name's Ceris Dyfi Jones. I'm a textile artist from Dolgellau, North Wales, who uses soft sculpture to explore human emotion and my own experiences as a neurodivergent woman. Through this project, I'm hoping to develop my confidence and understanding of the arts and health sector in Wales, so that I too may help others to improve their wellbeing through art.
Francesca Simmons
Multidisciplinary sound artist
I'm a multidisciplinary sound artist. My practice explores the ecology of culture and traditions, set within our landscape and environment, tracing elements of folklore. I'm looking forward to connecting with fellow artists and practitioners from North Wales, and taking steps towards new learning around arts and health.
Joe Pelé Boyd
Freelance music teacher
I’m a freelance music teacher who volunteers with various music charities around Gogledd Cymru. I hope to use my time at Camu i Mewn (Stepping In) to develop my knowledge of the health field so I can better understand how music can be used to treat medical conditions and for rehabilitation.
Lowri Hedd Vaughan
Regenerative practitioner, community worker and literary creative
I’m Lowri, a regenerative practitioner, community worker and literary creative from North West Wales. I create spaces that enable people to connect with themselves, each other, their habitat and care for the future. Through the Camu i Mewn (Stepping In) programme, I hope to deepen my understanding of the role of the arts in health and well-being, and to develop new facilitation skills and techniques. I’m particularly interested in nature writing and personal experience of postnatal depression, neurodiversity and anxiety.

I'm Mariel, a trainee tutor for BLAS Pontio. I have had experiences working in a number of arts, health and well-being projects. I'm a musician and dancer and look forward to learning from experts on different projects.

Occupational therapist
I enjoy creating art based on nature, drawing, creative writing and making music. I am an occupational therapist and hope that the mentoring will give me skills to develop my own arts in health practice. I am also interested in researching how engagement with the arts and health can improve wellbeing.

Language and theatre projects officer
Haia, I am Nia. I'm a language and theatre projects officer, and I love cooking, games and colouring. I'm looking forward to learning more about how we can make health and wellbeing experiences within the arts more accessible and support more young people to experience everything that is great about the arts.
Peri Haf Smith
Artist and muralist
Hi, my name is Peri and I am an artist and muralist who mainly paints landscapes and seascapes, with a focus on nature and its beauty Snowdonia National Park.
I hope this programme will give me the opportunity to build my confidence and skills as a creative practitioner. I also hope it strengthens my understanding of the health and wellbeing sector and the background work and planning processes for me to lead my own community projects in the future.
Tilly Butters
Illustrator and mural artist
I'm Tilly, a North Wales-based illustrator and mural artist. I have a background in arts education and community engagement. Through Stepping In, I hope to connect with practitioners and organisations, and gain the skills and confidence to use creativity to support people's health and wellbeing.
