Weave | Gwehyddu Arts & Mental Health Conference
Weave | Gwehyddu 2025
Weave 2025 was a sell out 2-day conference in partnership with BCUHB and Wrexham University hosting over 300 arts, health, social care, third sector, policy and funder professionals at Wrexham University on 8th and 9th September 2025 to celebrate the sector and address the challenges of embedding arts within health and social care systems.
"This year's Weave conference was a triumph of programming and organisation - thank you so much for the energy, vision and innovation that you brought to the last 2 days. It was all achieved within an atmosphere of calm and kindness. There was a lot of joy and hope offered, but we've all come away, I think, understanding that to achieve the sector's potential will require increased advocacy and collaboration, especially in the light of 2026 Senedd elections" (delegate)

Weave | Gwehyddu 2023
Weave | Gwehyddu 2023 took place on 4 October 2023 at Newport’s Lysaght Institute. It focused on the positive impact of the arts and creativity on Wales’ mental health and wellbeing.
Angela Rogers, WAHWN director, said: “The feedback on Weave, our first arts and mental health conference, from our members, funders, policy makers and politicians has been incredible. The Wellbeing of Future Generations Act has been a key driver steering genuine partnership working across the arts and health sector in Wales, enabling incredible innovation and creative approaches to tackle mental health challenges and address health inequalities. I am proud and excited to be part of this growing movement."
