As well as an opportunity to connect and share practice, October’s network meeting will be an opportunity to contribute to WAHWN’s ‘Creative Pathways’ workforce development consultation.

As the interest and momentum around arts and health continues to grow in Wales, it’s important that we find new ways to continue to inspire, support and nurture artists to work in healthcare settings. We will explore how artists acquire the skills to work in health and community settings, what training and mentoring support needs to be developed, and seek to understand some of the barriers for freelancers.

We will be joined by Damian Hebron who along with Rosie Dow is managing our Creative Pathways scoping, and who will share his reflections on recent consultation.

Wrth i’r diddordeb a’r momentwm o gylch y celfyddydau ac iechyd barhau i dyfu yng Nghymru, mae’n bwysig ein bod yn dod o hyd i ffyrdd newydd i ysbrydoli, cefnogi a meithrin artistiaid i weithio mewn lleoliadau gofal iechyd. Byddwn yn trafod sut mae artistiaid yn caffael y sgiliau i weithio mewn lleoliadau iechyd a chymunedol, pa gymorth hyfforddiant a mentora sydd angen ei ddatblygu, ac yn ceisio deall rhai o’r rhwystrau i weithwyr llawrydd.

Yn ymuno â ni bydd Damian Hebron sydd, gyda Rosie Dow, yn rheoli ein gwaith cwmpasu ar y Llwybrau Creadigol, ac a fydd yn rhannu ei fyfyrdodau ar yr ymgynghoriad diweddar.
