Introduction to Wellbeing is a free short course which will introduce you to a range of topics that can help to promote wellbeing for individuals and groups.
Topics covered include:
- Defining key concepts: what does wellbeing actually mean?
- Understanding the wider determinants of health and mental health
- Overcoming barriers: considering inequality, stigma and marginalisation
- Promoting wellbeing: physical activity, active travel, the environment, creativity… and much more
- Looking to the future: innovation and emerging strategies
Where: Wrexham University Plas Coch Campus
When: Wednesday 10th July 2024 to Friday 12th July 2024, 9.30am – 3.00pm each day
Who the course is aimed at: This course is ideal for anyone working/volunteering with people or in the field of health and wellbeing, or who may want to study or work in this area.
Is any prior study needed? No – this course is suitable for anyone with an interest in the topic area.
Do I get a certificate? If you successfully complete the course you will receive a Wrexham University Certificate of Continuing Education
Is there an exam or a long essay? No. There are a few enjoyable short tasks to complete, and there will be lots of support available.
