Thursday 23rd July

10am – 11.30am

Join us for our July Network Meeting, when we’ll be highlighting the importance of access to Welsh-language interventions, learning about the Welsh Language Consortium and shining a light on two fantastic projects that have Welsh language at their core.

Our contributors are:-

Iola Ynyr - a member of the ACW Welsh Consortium and creative facilitator, passionate about promoting the wellbeing of individuals and communities through creativity and by connecting with the natural world. The Consortium was established by the ACW Welsh Language Enabler in 2022 to explore and inform creative strategies that would contribute to an increase in language use and ownership across the arts sector. The Consortium works creatively, openly, and experimentally to offer ideas and expertise to the Arts Council of Wales as part of delivering its Cymraeg and Arts Plan 2024-34.

Manon Gwynant and Buddug Roberts will share the Troedio Tonnau – a young peoples’ project exploring grief through creative practice. Mared Huws from Blas, Pontio, who will also join the meeting sharing the wider Blas pontio project overview.

Mared Roberts, Literature Wales will talk about Chronic Women - a project celebrating Welsh-speaking women artists and poets living with chronic illness through creative writing and poetry.
