The Art of Cytology: Creativity, Transition and Evaluation

Sarah Goodey (Gwent Arts in Health & ABUHB), Sara Warshawski, Creative Practitioner & Evaluator

Sarah and Sara will give a brief presentation about an art project delivered to staff facing transition in 2018 at the Royal Gwent Hospital. The project worked with behind the scenes scientists who were part of the Cytology Screen department and resulted in a number of artworks. From the outset, a robust evaluation was essential to assess the potential benefits and shortfalls of using creativity to support staff who are facing re-deployment.

12:45 – Creative and Credible – evaluation in practice (a response to the above presentation)

The team are nearing completion of the evaluation and would welcome any feedback before sign-off so are willing to share the results and format with the group as a tool for discussion in view of the recent ‘Creative and Credible’ training, and the case study template.
