Stepping In - Diversifying the Creative Arts and Health Workforce
Stepping In is a training and mentoring programme for practitioners from Welsh speaking and underrepresented communities in North Wales to step into the field of arts and health. Building on the success of our pilot with four practitioners, this initiative directly addresses the urgent need to diversify and expand the cohort of practitioners working in arts and health. Demand for arts and health interventions is set to grow, yet the sector relies on a small, overstretched pool of facilitators. There remains a small pool of Welsh speaking practitioners. This programme responds to that challenge by investing in new talent and removing barriers to access. Stepping In 2026 will support a new cohort of up to 12 North Wales based practitioners.
