The Reflective Journal
Would you like a creative, accessible, and enjoyable way to reconnect with yourself, restore your sense of balance and reflect on what’s going on?
Keeping a Reflective Journal can be relaxing, playful and empowering. The safety of the page enables you to express yourself in ways that can be freeing and cathartic. And the process of writing helps you untangle thoughts and feelings, giving you a greater sense of clarity and focus.
My monthly Reflective Journal workshops introduce you to a range of ways into reflective, expressive and creative writing. Each month we will unpack and experiment with a different way into writing.
“I was so impressed by Jane's ability to create a safe, respectful, and accepting online space that still felt playful, curious and relaxed. She brought an authenticity and openness that made it feel safer to take part in and share the writing activities.”

During February, we will explore Writing from the Body. Using gentle and accessible ways of connecting with the body, I will help you to ground and relax, supporting you to tap into wisdom of your body and your writing.
In March we will play with writing from lists and creating cut-up poems. Using lists as starting points, we will capture and ‘thicken’ meaningful memories to create torn-paper poems. Come with paper, scissors and glue!
The last workshop in the series takes place in April, when we will play with ways of concealing and revealing - finding freedom in our own words by obscuring them to others and redacting or blocking out text to create new writing.
Everyone is welcome. No previous writing experience is necessary - the safe and accessible prompts to write will support you to find your own words.
Join me for one or two workshops – or sign up for all three. All workshops take place live on Zoom. Take your pick of either a Friday morning or Monday evening timeslot.

“I have started using some of the methods from the workshops to build a daily (or near daily practice) and I am excited about the possibilities going forward.”
