Moving with Nature Call Out for Participants
Location: Mid Wales | Start Date: July 2025
Summary:
Are you a queer artist or creative living in the rural mid-Wales area?
Would you be interested in taking part in a site-sensitive, movement based research project as part of my Masters in Arts Practice (Arts, Health & Wellbeing) at the University of South Wales?
Content:
Moving with Nature is a three-day outdoor movement and visual arts workshop for LGBTQ+ creatives. Each day will offer invitations to explore immersive, participatory arts experiences in connection with the surrounding Bannau Brycheiniog landscape. Rooted in queer ecology, an outlook that celebrates the rich diversity of identities, relationships, and ways of being in nature, Moving with Nature aims to support health and wellbeing, nurture solidarity, and invite a collective exploration of queer rural life through time together sharing and moving with the land.
Moving with Nature is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space that respects, affirms, and supports all gender identities and expressions, including trans and nonbinary people.
This workshop is free of charge and participants are welcome to take part for all three days, or just drop in for part of the weekend. No prior movement experience is required to take part.
If you would like to be involved, please email me at 30142272@students.southwales.ac.uk, and I can send you further information. There will be an online info session ahead of the workshop for anyone who'd like to find out more. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions you may have. www.jesstanner.co.uk
