Join us for the launch of a new Baring Foundation report asking why comparatively few older men take up creative opportunities.
As a funder of creative ageing for a decade from 2010-2019, we were aware that older men were much less likely to take part in the work we were funding than older women (and commissioned a seminal guide by Ed Watts at the Whitworth Gallery).
10 years later, we feel the situation is much the same with low numbers and few targeted projects aimed at engaging more older men, so we decided to gather what brilliant examples we could find into a new report.
Please do join us to discuss the report. We will hear from four speakers who are all successfully engaging older men:
- Beamish Museum
- Celebrating Age Wiltshire
- London Bubble Theatre
- OTH (Over the Hill) Music Collective
We look forward to seeing you there!
