Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board (BCUHB) for a secondment/fixed term within the Public Health Directorate, to cover for maternity leave until March 31st 2027. The post holder will provide overall management for highly complex, highly sensitive projects undertaken by the Directorate and regional partners within the locality and across the Health Board area. You will have a genuine interest in arts in health and social prescribing, recognising the role of creative and community-based approaches in supporting health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be expected to identify and lead the delivery of Arts in Health & Wellbeing activities, and lead on regional co-design and joint-commissioning arrangements for Social Prescribing services that meet the needs of service users, staff and wider North Wales communities, in line with the priorities and objectives stated in the National Framework for Social Prescribing and local BCUHB Arts in Health & Wellbeing Strategy. The post holder will also provide wider delivery support to the health inequalities programme as required.
Main duties of the job
The Delivery Lead will also be responsible for ensuring that policies for implementing projects across BCU are developed and adhered to, and that standard project management methodologies are applied to progress and successfully deliver projects, will be required to plan, support, facilitate and monitor the progress of projects or work streams, which make up the agreed programme and to provide management support, training and expert guidance to all project staff.
The post holder will lead and support a programme of public health work, based on public health priorities to develop holistic models of care that embed prevention and reduce health inequalities in North Wales. This will include leading the delivery of Arts in Health and Wellbeing activities, and co-designing jointly commissioned social prescribing services.
The post-holder should be prepared to travel across the North Wales area, and will spend part of their time in the office and part of their time working from home, as well as attending face to face meetings. The position is based in the Preswylfa Office in Mold, Flintshire or Bryn Tirion, Llanfairfechan. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
