WAHWN is pleased to be able to offer a small number of bursaries to artists and professionals working across Arts, Health & Wellbeing to ‘Go & See’ other projects, spaces of interest, meet with new partners and collaborators, support training costs, attend arts and health conferences or festivals. In this round, a percentage of bursaries will be dedicated for Welsh language, global majority and Deaf/Disabled practitioners, who have been underrepresented in applications to date.
Who is this for?
- Individual participatory artists or professionals working in health and wellbeing settings/projects who want to visit or invite others to health and social care projects (priority will be given to individuals who are not in receipt of ACW core funding)
- A percentage of the bursaries will be aimed at supporting artists who are working in ways that support climate justice and enhance our relationship with nature
- A percentage of bursaries will be dedicated for Welsh language, global majority and Deaf/Disabled practitioners, who have been underrepresented in applications to date
How Much?
Up to £200 per application – please only apply for the costs you need covered rather than ‘bulking up’ to meet the maximum amount. This will enable a fairer spread of the pot.
What does it cover?
- Travel costs
- Accommodation costs
- Subsistence costs
- Attendance tickets
- Training costs to support your practice
- Personal access costs
- Any other relevant costs to enable your visit
What is involved in accepting a micro grant?
- This is a rolling programme. Grants will be administered on a first come first served basis, and therefore once the fund has been fully allocated, we will announce that applications are closed.
- You will need to spend the micro grant before 1st March 2026.
- You will need to complete a short feedback form describing the grant activity and how it has benefited your work, including photographic documentation if relevant. Responses from all micro grant recipients will be collated to create a report for our funder, ACW.
- We would love it if you could write a short blog (max 500 words) or create a vlog about your visit, which we can share with our funders and WAHWN members. Further information about this will be provided upon receipt of your micro grant.
- Any unspent grants will need to be paid back within 14 days.
