In 2021-2022 the Baring Foundation funded around 40 projects to support the careers of Global Majority artists working in arts and mental health and make creative mental health interventions more available to people living with mental health problems in Global Majority communities. This funding was designed to address a lack of diversity and opportunity for both artists and communities

This one-day event will bring many of the organisations and others together to:

  • celebrate their achievements, including through the launch of a new report based on our funding;
  • meet, share with and learn from others working in this area;
  • ask how the arts and mental health field can continue to support diverse artists and communities in this area of high need.

This event is particularly intended for:

  • arts organisations and leaders who are already committed to this area of practice;
  • arts organisations and leaders who would like to be;
  • funders and policy-makers with an interest in arts, diversity and health inequalities.

We are delighted that Stephen Rudder, artist, creative producer and psychotherapist, will be giving a key note speech to start the day. The full programme will be available nearer the time.
