In this session, we will be focusing on the intersection of the climate crisis and mental health, exploring climate emotions, introducing concepts and research from the field of climate psychology, and discussing the rise and impacts of climate anxiety more broadly, as well as specifically in young people.

Marla will share her experiences working for a youth driven organisation called The Resilience Project, facilitating  workshops on themes such as climate anxiety, burnout and cultivating collective care, often bringing creativity into these sessions as an essential part of this work. She will also share learnings, project inspiration and tools for navigating climate emotions in ourselves and those we connect with.

There will also be space for questions and group discussion to explore how we can better support ourselves, our communities and young people when it comes to our emotional wellbeing whilst navigating such turbulent times.
