Would you like to take part in Change Minds, an innovative project being run by the Carmarthenshire Archives and West Wales Action for Mental Health? If you have experience of mental health difficulties, this free project may be something for you. As a Change Minds participant, you will be part of a shared experience of exploring historical mental health records from over one hundred years ago. Over the course of seven three hour workshops, you will take part in a fascinating journey of learning, creativity and thinking about mental health in the past and today. The seven workshops will be held at Carmarthenshire Archives in central Carmarthen over a three-month period from September 2025 to November 2025. The workshops will provide a safe, welcoming space where you will be supported by the project coordinator as well as archivists, artists, volunteers and support workers. If you would like to take part or to find out more information, please contact Archives Transformation Manager Hayden Burns via email (HSBurns@carmarthenshire.gov.uk), or phone (01267 228232).
