Celf Wyllt - new Youth Project in Boncath

Summary:

Celf Wyllt is an exciting pilot project that combines creative arts, emotional regulation techniques and a connection to nature to improve mental health and well-being in young people aged 14 - 16. The project runs until June 2025 and is supported by Arts, Health and Wellbeing Lottery Funding.

Content:

There will be six sessions, taking place on May the 1st, 8th,15th & 22nd and June the 5th & 12th.

Timings will be 9.30am-2.30pm. The activities will take place at a site near Boncath.

We envisage working with a group of twelve young people aged 14-16 from the local area and all participants will be through referral.

This project is not county specific, so referrals are welcome from Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.

The kinds of activities we will be offering the group will include

  • Art activities incorporating nature
  • Sharing and listening as a group
  • Nature connection activities
  • Exploring how we can regulate our emotions
  • Spending time around an open fire
  • Reflecting on our experiences using art and nature Full risk assessments will be made, clear boundaries set and safety information provided to participants throughout the programme.
