Opportunities for Artists

Summary:

DLL logo Denbighshire Leisure Limited’s Community Arts team are looking to appoint a number of freelance artists, working across a variety of art forms, to fulfil community arts projects across Denbighshire.

Content:

The programme of activity will be funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund and will run between April and October 2024.

 

The majority of the projects will be community based and have an art in health and wellbeing outcome. We will be working with adults, children and young people with a special interest in supporting those with mental health challenges and those who may be lonely and isolated or who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences.  Projects will be run in collaboration with our partners, including Vale of Clwyd Mind, Grŵp Cynefin, Ruthin Craft Centre, BCUHB, Canolfan Ni, Denbighshire’s Resettlement Team and KIM-Inspire to name a few and will take place in venues such as care homes, schools, community centres and community hospitals.

 

We are looking for highly experienced professional artists, makers and creative practitioners to run workshops looking at a variety of artistic techniques and art forms including visual arts, craft, music, dance, drama, creative writing.

 

Denbighshire Leisure Ltd invites creative practitioners to send an Expressions of Interest letter, by email, to be considered for this creative programme. Should you wish, you are also welcome to suggest partners you may be keen to work with and project ideas. If your ideas are not suitable for this programme, there is a Shared Prosperity Fund grant that opens January 22, 2024 that we will be able to sign post you to:

We will be looking to appoint artists to various projects from the New Year onwards although most of the delivery will take place between April and October 2024.
