ART AT THE ATRIWM CARMARTHEN – OPPORTUNITY TO TENDER

Summary:
Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) is seeking to commission an experienced Public Arts & Health organisation to develop and deliver a high-quality Arts and Creative Engagement Commission for Atriwm, the new regional Integrated Health and Wellbeing hub in the centre of Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire (the old Debenhams building).

The art commission will support the delivery of the Atriwm vision:
"A centre for health, wellbeing, culture and learning, providing better integrated, accessible and sustainable public services."
The appointed arts organisation will work collaboratively with the Health Board, partners, staff, service users and local communities to develop a series of permanent artworks for display in the Health Board managed areas of the building.
The Art at the Atriwm commission will help translate the vision of the Atriwm into a tangible and meaningful experience for patients, visitors, staff and the wider community. It will embed creativity, culture and wellbeing within the Centre's physical environment, supporting a welcoming, calming and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the identity and aspirations of the people who use the space.
The Health Board intends to award one contract to a suitably qualified organisation to deliver the full commission.
The contract is expected to commence in October 2026 and run until 31 March 2027, subject to project requirements and funding availability.
