Age Cymru: Dementia Advocacy Project

Location: Wales

Summary:

Age Cymru's independent dementia advocacy project is about enabling people with a diagnosis of dementia to access the services and support that they need and to have a voice in decisions that are being made. It's also to support them though situations where they may be abused and need to find safeguarding solutions. The advocacy they offer will be independent of any other service people living with dementia use. This means the person with dementia will be at the heart of the decision making process, and they can support and represent them without any conflict of interest.
