Join WAHWN as a Trustee Director in 2025
Are you passionate about creativity and its transformative power on health and wellbeing? Do you have the skills, experience, or enthusiasm we need to contribute to a vibrant and inclusive arts and health sector in Wales? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
The Wales Arts, Health and Wellbeing Network (WAHWN) is looking for at least three dynamic and dedicated Trustee Directors to join our Board. This is your chance to help shape the future of arts and health in Wales, drive impactful change, and champion creative participation across our communities.
Why WAHWN?
As the national sector support organisation for arts, health, and wellbeing, WAHWN is at the heart of a movement that connects, inspires and empowers professionals across the arts, health, and higher education sectors.
Why joining WAHWN matters:
A thriving membership base: Our network is growing rapidly, with nearly 1,000 members representing a diverse range of art forms and practices in healthcare, community settings and beyond.
Strategic impact: We play a pivotal role in key partnerships and act as a national voice, advocating arts and health work in Wales at the highest levels.
Commitment to inclusion: We are actively working to build a sector that is representative, diverse and inclusive, ensuring that creativity is accessible to all.
Who are we looking for?
We need people who can bring new skills, knowledge and perspectives to our Board.
We are particularly interested in people with experience or skills in:
- Clinical Practice, especially in mental health
- Finance and HR
- Fundraising
- Environment/Nature (including sustainability)
Our current workforce and leadership do not fully reflect the diversity of our communities. We strongly encourage applications from people whose heritage, identity, or perspectives are underrepresented in the arts, health, and culture sectors—particularly those from global majority backgrounds.
As a Trustee, you will:
- Be part of an organisation driving positive change for arts and health in Wales.
- Gain unique insights into the intersection of creativity, health, and community development.
- Work with a small, passionate team dedicated to making a real difference.
