Introduction
While the evaluation of the first phase of cARTrefu provides a strong evidence-base of the projects impact, it was felt that a Social Return On Investment analysis would provide additional evidence on the social value generated by the activities that funding bodies may require to be able to make informed decisions for resource allocation when considering the future of cARTrefu beyond the current funding. The purpose of this SROI analysis is to explore and understand the social and environmental impact of cARTrefu in monetary terms, using the data collected during the evaluation of the first phase of and discussions with additional stakeholders. The SROI analysis is a retrospective evaluation of all activities of cARTrefu phase 1 (2015-2017) in relation to the funding provided by Arts Council of Wales and Baring Foundation.
